Brown is a neutral colour and instantly brings a feeling of nature and the seasons.

Brown is also said to stimulate the appetite which may be a help in keeping the budget down (yes we are joking).

Brown affects the mind by making us feel warm and cozy and peaceful.

Whilst some feel the colour is seen as dull it is also simple and when teamed with other colours is not as harsh a black so may be a good alternative.
