Celebrancy by Shelley is my business and I love what I do.
I love meeting new people and listening to their stories.
I embrace all forms of marriage in Australia and for the record my pronouns are SHE / HER, what are yours?
My logo design reflects the kind of person I am and the way I live my life. I enjoy bringing people together. The two green circles on the tree overlapping to form a new circle in the middle are what I hope to achieve with my celebrations, whether they are weddings, baby naming, family blending and so on. I love that the branches in the logo look like open arms, welcoming all.
Working with you on your special occasion is my opportunity to help take the stress out of your day so that you can relax and enjoy moments you will love to remember.
I’m all for inclusion, whether that’s how you identify (by the way my pronouns are She / Her), or who or what you would like to have as part of your ceremony, I want to make your day about you and your love. Oh and it’s my wish that you have loads of fun declaring your love surrounded by those who care most for you, after all that’s what a wedding should be.
As someone with two family members who live with life changing physical and intellectual disabilities, I also know that barriers can pop up unexpectedly. I pride myself on being able to navigate most situations and find the win/win so that everyone not only feels included but actually is included in the fun of the day.
I offer a specialty service for clients who use Australian Sign Language (Auslan) and I can liaise with you in Auslan ahead of the day.
I can also link you with a NAATI certified interpreter so that we can conduct an inclusive ceremony for everyone.
To mirror my ‘green’ lifestyle, I’m committed to maintaining an environmentally friendly business with a minimal carbon footprint.
To that end most of my correspondence will be via email and I will use recycled paper products wherever I can. Should you wish to include rituals within your service I’d be delighted to ensure they too have a minimal environmental impact such as recycled glass packaging for a sand ceremony and a tree sourced locally for tree-planting ceremonies etc.
Relax and enjoy
It’s your special day and the focus should be on you, while I take care of the formalities on your behalf.
I spend time getting to know my clients to understand your personalities and find out the type of event you are looking for. I then write a personal ceremony just for you, there’s no changing the names and dates between couples in my work.
The ceremony is approved prior to the day by yourself, remember it’s all about you, not me, and nothing will happen that you don’t want to happen.
I ensure all documentation is officially registered within the required time frames with the relevant authorities.
I love having the opportunity to marry couples who are in love, let’s chat about your love story.
