If you are wanting to hold an event in a public park it is essential you contact the council first and take if from there.

Featuring a garden of roses with over 50 varieties of rose on display, the gardens include two rose beds containing the City of Adelaide rose, located at the South Terrace entrance, and Queen Adelaide rose, located at the corner of South Terrace and Sir Lewis Cohen Avenue. There are many walks through the parks taking you through gardens of water features, past the greenhouse, and through more lush shady areas. The gardens are also home to the Adelaide Pavilion restaurant and function centre, and is a popular location for weddings and wedding photography shoots.

Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is situated on 97 hectares on the eastern slopes of Mount Lofty in the Adelaide Hills, and was first opened in 1977.

The cooler, wetter location suits plants which are difficult to grown on the Adelaide Plains.

There are tree ferns, exotic plants from cooler climates and the National Species Rose Collection.

The Mount Lofty Botanic Garden, along with the Adelaide and Wittunga Botanic Gardens are administered by the Botanic Gardens of South Australia, a State Government statutory authority.

Relevant permits and consent from council are usually required.

Gladstone Square is located in the Port Augusta city centre, on the corner of Jervois Street and Marryatt Street.
